Just a few months away from being one year old, this blog has challenged me in ways I didn't think it would. It forced me to be creative, both in styling and designing, and allowed me to truly express myself. It's an ongoing project with lots of room for improvement, but I'm astonished at how far I've come and really, it all comes down to YOU. Thank you for taking the time to read, view, pin, like, tweet and encourage me in this venture. 2013 was a good year from blogging but I know my best is yet to come. Before I get all sentimental on you, I just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year! Cheers to a bright and happy 2014.
Here's a look back at my first year of blogging. Some of these made me cringe, to be frank. But (I think) I got better at posing and being more comfortable in front of the camera, which was a big goal for me. Scroll through and click the links for a stroll down memory lane!

I limited myself to sharing four gifts I received and loved this Christmas.
1. Madewell Bien Fiat sweatshirt // I've been eying this and saving it to my cart for months now. First it was sold out completely. Then it came back this month but December is not a time to shop for yourself! So I showed some restraint and held out. Thankfully, my soul mate knows me so well and picked this out all by himself with no clues from me. And it means so much more than if I had just splurged and bought it for myself.
2. Belgian Waffle Maker // I love breakfast and brunch foods. Rob and I have Sunday Brunch every week. And now I finally have a real waffle maker! I can't wait to whip up chocolate chip waffles with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream right on top! Thanks, Seal Family!
3. Nespresso Lattissima Plus // I just love getting kitchen appliances as gifts. This was technically a gift from Rob's mother to Rob but I'm reaping the benefits as his roomie girlfriend. With the press of a button, this bad boy delivers rich espresso with creamy, frothy milk in a matter of seconds. We invested in Torani syrups to flavor our lattes and feel fully capable of running a small coffee shop out of our apartment now. Just need to perfect our latte art....
4. Coach Studded Handbag // Ahh, nothing as glamorous as opening a big brown box from Coach on Christmas. Boyfriend did good on this classic silhouette with a modern twist with the stud details. I'm so taken by it and not to mention, floored that I should receive such an extravagant gift.
Hope Santa was good to you this year!
Dress: Dorothy Perkins // Purse: Nine West // Necklace: Bauble Bar // Shoes: Nine West// Belt: J. Crew
It's finally Friday and time for the New Year festivities to begin! I love getting glammed up and donning my party dress and shoes. This white outfit rings all the right bells--all-white brocade, glitter, sparkle and more glitter and sparkle. If white is too plain for you, jazz it up with mixed metals. It's sort of against the "rules" and therefore, bold.
Have a fabulous weekend!
