TGIF: No.1

Friday Favorites
Due to an unhealthy Pinterest addiction and well, an addiction to the internet/social media in general, I wanted a way to share some creative finds with all of you here.  So in a small series here on the blog, I'll point out a few of my favorites from the week, whether it be fashion, beauty, recipes, products, design, etc.  If you ever have a suggestion of something I should check out, leave a comment below.  I love finding new and creative ideas!

In no particular order--

1.  L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation
I know I've already reviewed this product here and decided I liked it, but now I've decided I really like it.  I just can't get over how smooth and powdery it feels.  It's one of my most used bases from last month. After further use, it's close to perfect with the addition of a setting powder!

2.  Ponytails
As mundane and ordinary as it sounds, I can't get enough of the ponytail.  These cold, can't-get-out-of-bed mornings have me hitting that snooze button repeatedly.  So I've just been smoothing my hair out and pulling it up into a pony.  The great thing is that my second (or third) day curls fall perfectly.  Here's a quick tutorial on The Hair Cuff Pony.

3.  Sugar and Cloth blog
Ashley from Sugar and Cloth posts some seriously creative DIY's.  And not the type where you need a million dollars worth of stuff that normal people just don't have, but rather the ones where you think "hey, I can do this!" This pegboard headboard got me so excited.  We're actually putting this idea to use in our makeshift "studio" for blog photos in the cold and dark months of winter.  The idea that it's customizable so we can switch out items for both of our photos really appealed to our needs.  Hoping to install it this weekend!  Please take a second to check out Ashley's other projects--the Christmas DIY's are not to be missed.

4.  Gallery Wall
Pinterest is full of these images of clustered photos in all shapes and sizes and layouts.  I tried once to set one up in our bedroom but it is deceivingly difficult!  It quickly turned into a lopsided mess.  I ran into this image and fell in love with the symmetry and clean lines.  I love that it's top to bottom.  I'm guessing--only guessing--that it's slightly easier to hang this grid formation rather than one with different sized frames.  Since we take a ton of photos, it would be nice to feature some in a cohesive design.  Off we go to Ikea for some frames!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!
