Calming oats, bananas and ground almonds, with just a hint of vanilla. Sounds like the perfect breakfast but also fabulous for the skin. Particularly so if you're having a bout of irritation, dryness or sensitivity. Oats are naturally anti-histemic, meaning they sooth any negative reactions or redness. It's great for those who are suffering from seasonal allergies this time of year. The smashed bananas help to soften the skin and the almonds gently buff the skins surface. After ten minutes, your left with baby soft skin. And I mean, soft!
I have to take a moment to point out how good this smells. It makes me want to plop some on a cookie sheet and bake it for 8-10 minutes--yes, that deliciously fragrant. I like using this on nights where I'm having a proper pamper night because the smell alone is so comforting.
It's a lumpy face mask because of the mashed bananas. I've found working in small sections makes it a little easier to apply an even layer. I love removing the mask to find smooth, glowing skin. It's a very gentle mask and I can't think of any reason it would irritate even the most sensitive of skins. The almonds are finely ground for a light exfoliation.
