Product Review // L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation

Okay, a little bit obsessed with this one at the moment.  You should know by now that anything with the word "matte" is destined to be tried on my face, especially if it's a drugstore find.  It claims to be 24 hour wear but lord knows I'm not pulling a beauty all nighter to put that to the test.  However, for a normal work day, I'm fairly impressed with this staying power.  And it doesn't get oily on me through out the day!  Hallelujah! I'm wearing this foundation in this post, if you'd like to see it in action.

This is a light to medium coverage.  One layer won't cover anything substantial but I prefer that my bases are light so I can use a concealer only where I need extra coverage.  The one thing different about this foundation is that it's actually a demi-matte, meaning the finish doesn't look completely flat.  There's still a little luminosity that shines through, as opposed to MUFE Mat Velvet--one of my holy grail foundations--that it 100% matte.  I like that this gives me a tiny bit of a glow but doesn't get oily.  I hope to see more demi-matte foundations since it's hard to achieve that balance.

Color range is great and I found a good yellow-based color match for myself.  The only thing is in the tubes, the colors look SO similar.  I'd recommend researching swatches online before hitting the shelves.

All in all, L'Oreal is doing great things with their new Infallible line I also picked up the setting spray, a good dupe for the Urban Decay All-Nighter and the new lipsticks that will not budge.
