Hello and Happy Fall! It's that time of the year again--nope, forget about the holidays. It's that rare sale opportunity on high end beauty products. In case you haven't noticed, beauty is almost always excluded from sales and promotions. But Sephora's VIB sale is a wonderful time to either restock on your favorites or try something new you've been saving in your cart. I've rounded up my ultimate wish list for make up, skin care and hair to share with you guys. All sale details are below!
VIB Rouge: Nov. 4 - Nov. 7 (20% off code--20ROUGE)
VIB: Nov. 11 - Nov 14 (20% of code--20VIB)
I like to take advantage of this sale to focus on foundation and base products, as they tend to be the most expensive category. I'm thinking about trying 'Too Faced Born This Way' and 'Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation' but one of my old favorites is 'Estee Lauder Double Wear.' Lips are another category I like to peruse--the liquid lipstick trend was huge and I have yet to try 'Smashbox Always On' and the shade selection looks amazing! I threw in some staple products (BeautyBlender, KVD Tattoo Liner, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders) and a few new eyeshadow palettes I've been eyeing but couldn't justify purchasing.
This is where it's at for me. While I pinch pennies and do more than okay with drugstore makeup, I LOVE high end skincare. I'm a firm believer in skin first (just wish I'd realized that as a teenager and taken better care of it) and there is a ton of stuff on my wishlist. Brands like Tatcha, Sunday Riley and Drunk Elephant are calling my name. I think investing in serums, creams and oils make the most sense and skimping on cleansers (that literally goes right down the drain) is a good way to prioritize what you want to buy. I also have a few princess products, like the Caudalie Beauty Elixer, that I definitely don't need...but when has that ever stopped me?
Having a good hair day is priceless...and here are some pricey items. I have my eyes on Alterna, Ouai, Bumble and Bumble, and Living Proof. These are all brands I've had great luck with in the past but don't often re-buy. I'm also interested in some new hot tools that are reliable and won't damage my hair as much. If you suffer from damaged hair a good deep conditioner can do wonders--I like 'Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair.'
Enjoy splurging and treating yourself to some new goodies!
