It's beginning to look a lot like spring! I know I haven't done a lookbook post in awhile and I'll admit I was a little rusty in front of the camera. I've been in a major transitional phase with my wardrobe. I've downsized significantly and tried to embrace a minimal approach. It's a work in progress and there's a lot of gaps in my wardrobe. I'm trying to fill them in but not rushing into anything that isn't exactly perfect. So much of the time I'd sacrifice fit or material for the sake of buying something new. Unfortunately, that meant I'd fall out of love with items quicker. So my new goal is quality over quantity. This Banana Republic top is beautifully made with an asymmetrical pleat. I like the vertical stripes in a subtle color that I can layer under other pieces. The bag meets my new standards, too--simple and functional. It's a light neutral and has two zip compartments, which means it can hold a lot when the occasion calls for it. I decluttered a lot in my closet but decided to keep this trench coat from years ago. It was a great investment and has stood the test of time. I've linked to these pieces below. I'll keep you guys updated with my closet makeover!
